We offer a range of treatments at Moxa which are each detailed below.

Treatments with Jodi for acupuncture, Chinese herbalism and massage are all claimable with the majority of health funds. Often you can claim on the spot and just pay the gap. Please check with your individual fund to ensure you have appropriate cover to claim.

We do not want our fees to exclude people from treatment. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please be in touch to discuss options.

ACUPUNCTURE & TCM

Initial Consultation

A comprehensive and extended first consultation and treatment in which we discuss and address your full health history, main complaint and any other health concerns you may have. Massage and other adjunctive TCM techniques may be included. Time is given to discussing lifestyle factors. Blood and other tests/scans may also be discussed and/or suggested. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for this appointment.

Initial Fertility Consultation

A comprehensive and very extended first consultation and treatment in which we discuss and address your full health history, main fertility issues and any other health concerns you may have. Massage and other adjunctive TCM techniques may also be included. Time is given to discussing lifestyle factors, temperature charting, understanding your cycle and timing of intercourse. Blood, semen and other tests/scans may also be discussed and/or suggested. Please allow approximately 120minutes for this appointment.

Initial Fertility Couple Consultation

It’s often highly beneficial to work with both partners when trying to conceive.
Come as a couple for a combined initial fertility consultation and individual treatments. Please allow up to 180minutes in total for this appointment.

Standard Follow-Up Consultation

A shorter review of how you’re feeling and progressing. Treatment including acupuncture and TCM therapeutic techniques with minimal massage. Please allow 50-60 minutes for this appointment.

Extended Follow-Up Consultation

Our Acupuncturist, Jodi, is also a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist. The extended consultation includes varying amounts of massage/bodywork in addition to your acupuncture treatment. It’s a good choice if you’re needing to address a painful condition or digestive and reproductive issues that may benefit from massage. The price range offered represents differing amounts of massage. Discuss your needs with Jodi. Please allow approximately 65-80minutes for this appointment.

Acupuncture Support Treatments
for IVF Embryo Transfer

A supportive Acupuncture Treatment either side of your IVF Embryo Transfer

Two specific acupuncture treatments, one of which is performed just prior and one just after your IVF embryo transfer, according to researched protocols. These treatments aim to relax you and the uterus and improve IVF success rates. As soon as you have your transfer time confirmed, please contact us to arrange appropriate scheduling of these treatments. We believe in the value of these treatments and will do our utmost to accommodate you.

CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Initial Consultation

A comprehensive first consultation in which we discuss and address your full health history, main complaint and any other health concerns you may have. Time is given to discussing lifestyle factors. Blood and other tests/scans may also be discussed and/or suggested. An appropriate herbal medicine/supplement prescription will be offered. Any medicines taken are an additional cost. Please allow approximately 45minutes for this appointment.

Follow-Up Consultation

A shorter review of how you’re feeling and progressing with your prescription. Adjustments may be made. Any medicines taken are an additional cost. Please allow approximately 30minutes for this appointment.

CUPPING

A Stand-Alone Cupping Session

Cups are great for helping to ease pain, tension and congestion. A short and specific treatment including some massage but no acupuncture. Please allow approximately 40minutes for this appointment.

Maya Abdominal Therapies™

Mini ‘Abdominal Therapy’ discovery sessions – 1 hour = $60 Curious to know more and have an experience of these Abdominal Therapies before diving in for a full session? Book in for a 40 min abdominal massage and 15 min womb steam.

Initial session – 2.5 hrs = $185 A comprehensive first consultation and treatment including body massage (with a focus on the belly, lower back, hips, and sacrum), womb steam, demonstration and instruction for self-care belly massage to do at home.

Follow up sessions 1.5 hrs hr $165 Body massage (with a focus on the belly, lower back, hips, and sacrum), womb steam, review self- care belly massage and options for home set up for womb steams. Three session bundles (paid in advance) Initial session + 2 follow up sessions = $480

Womb steam only – 45 min = $60 Short consultation, womb steam, instructions for home set up, herbs for one steam at home.

Pregnancy and Post Natal Massage – 1.5 hrs = $140

 

Note: Abdominal massage is not performed during menstruation or up to 5 days prior to menses, if using an IUD or during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Womb steaming is not recommended during menstruation, during pregnancy, active infections are after ovulation (if you are trying to conceive).
