As mentioned in the section on acupuncture, a Chinese herbal medicine prescription may be suggested as part of your acupuncture treatment.
However, herbal medicine is a highly valuable part of traditional Chinese medicine in its own right.
Our resident acupuncturist, Jodi Baldry can talk to you about using herbal medicine or acupuncture as stand-alone treatments as well as using them together to potentially enhance the efficacy of your treatment.
Herbal medicines may assist in treating a wide range of acute and chronic symptoms, including pain, stress and fatigue. Sometimes herbs are taken intensively for only a short time and sometimes at a more moderate dose for longer. At Moxa, we provide herbs as pills, capsules or granules. We always select or make the formula to treat your individual condition and the way it uniquely presents. For example, five women with period pain may each receive a different herbal formula.
The herbs we prescribe are very high quality and sourced from only the most reputable suppliers. They don’t contain toxic contaminants, or any endangered or prohibited substances. They go through stringent Therapeutic Goods Administration assessment before being made available in Australia.
